ADR Driver Training

We are authorised by the DfT and SQA to hold ADR driver training courses and we specialise in delivering bespoke in-house courses, covering only those modules applicable to your business. This does not keep your drivers off the road for additional unnecessary days, learning about aspects of dangerous goods not applicable to your particular operation.

Dangerous Goods Training

The Health and Safety at Work. Act 1974 [Regulation 2(2)(c)] contains general training requirements for everyone at work, and these are obviously relevant to the transport of dangerous goods.

Specific legislation for individual modes of transport takes these general requirements further, for example The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations. They align training requirements for domestic transport with the requirements for international transport to be found in Chapter 1.3 of each of ADR, IATA, IMDG and RID.

These regulations place a requirement on the employer to ensure that all staff involved in the carriage of dangerous goods have received training and instruction appropriate to their duties and responsibilities to enable all staff to discharge their duties safely.

This applies to all such staff, from drivers to office staff, warehousemen to container lift operators, forklift truck drivers to managers.

We offer bespoke training courses, tailored to suit the needs of your business and the roles of those being trained. Any course can be tailored to cover those modes of transport that are relevant to your business. This means that the course content is relevant to your staff and time is not wasted covering material that is not applicable to their needs.
